Shows!!!

Tonight John K. and I and Hugo and others?!?!? are going to see Janelle Monae, who if possible, is fiercer than Christian.

Which reminded me of other shows I have seen recently. All of them of the non rock and pop variety.

Such as the musical Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, which actually sort of rocked. Literally.
And Andrew Jackson was sort of hot, in his tight pants.
Hoping you all took the time to see it.

And I have been seeing a lot of dance. So much dance! Johanna you would not believe how much dance I am seeing!!!

I am quite looking forward to a dance by this bloke:
Um...that's all. Really.

Matt and I are going to see Taylor Mac (Obie Award winner) at Joe's Pub on Saturday night. And by Matt and I, I mean I just invited Matt 3 seconds ago.

Also, New Works Festival at Public Theater! Free tickets to readings of plays under consideration for upcoming seasons. Yay depressing theater!

Janelle Monae ALSO is opening for Erykah Badu (!) June 6th at Roseland, which I am attending. We will settle who is fiercest once and for all. I'm positive that I can kick higher than her, but her hairdo is pretty on-target. It's general admission, as are the LCD Soundsystem (May 20, Terminal 5) and Goldfrapp (June 23, Hammerstein) shows, if anyone wants to meet up or come with!

Dance Dance Revolution was So So Bad that I can't possibly fathom Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson being worth watching - unless Les Freres Corbusier has greatly restructured itself in the last year.

Also, yay Goldfrapp!

Hmmm. Goldfrapp. which always seems like a fancy cold drink to me. an icy one.
Taylor Mac...seems like make-up.
